Take a tour of the World Headquarters of Baliston International in Nancy, France. The Castle was built in 1899 and was considered a jewel of architectural art on the Oberlin street. The building is imposing, functional and sits in a beautiful country setting. This administrative building was exceptionally decorated by local famous artists. The glass roof is supported by cast iron beams (installed in 1918).The wooden stairway is also complemented with metal work, which was still very popular at the end of the XIX century. You can also find elements of “Art Nouveau” from the school of Nancy. The woodworks were done by the famous wood artist Eugene Vallin (1856-1922).He also built furniture for one of the offices (a work table, a chair and a wood floor). The current building of Baliston International was raised using techniques and elements that would pioneer this particular building industry. |
